“A Story To Be Told”
April through presentation at November General Meeting
Most projects that we undertake are related to a person, a creative challenge, or they’re just plain fun. But many we undertake have a story connected to them. It might be a t-shirt quilt that is filled with memories of a child’s passion; perhaps a piece that reflects family fun at the beach or camping; a special event or the arrival of a new family member…sometimes our work is focused on beauty that we see in nature. There are no boundaries in the creative process. It is our own!
Your VP Challenge is to create a work that tells a story!
-Can be quilt, wall-hanging, table topper – anything you feel led to create
-It should be no smaller than a fat quarter
-Stretch yourself – try using embellishments, new techniques
-Part of the story is what did you learn-was there an epiphany?
-Must contain 3 layers, be quilted (can be minimal) and labeled
-All works will be displayed in November & voted upon-1, 2, 3 prize!
So, have fun! Explore new techniques! Stretch yourself creatively!
Everyone has a story to be told.
